Job Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support in our rehabilitation setting. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with patients to assist them in exercising or practicing daily tasks, motivate and encourage them, and correct their posture or form as needed. You will also be responsible for recording accurate patient records, setting up equipment and tools for each patient, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with exercises and daily functional tasks, ensuring their safety and providing guidance on proper form and technique
  • Review and administer individualized treatment plans for each patient, working closely with physical therapists to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress, treatment plans, and any changes or concerns
  • Assist patients with the use of support devices, such as walkers, canes, or wheelchairs, and provide guidance on their proper use
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, helping them to stay motivated and engaged in their rehabilitation
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly sanitized and stored
Qualifications:
  • Current state licensing for physical therapy assistance required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • The ability to create a positive and nurturing environment, with a focus on patient-centered care
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of stress and pressure
