Accounting Clerk Job Description

Aston Carter is seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, obtaining approvals for miscellaneous invoices, and maintaining the AP email box.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable transactions
  • Obtain approvals required for miscellaneous invoices and enter invoice into the system
  • Maintain the AP email box
  • File AP invoices
  • Process supplier invoices and perform a 3-way match against PO and receiving transactions
  • Prepare check run - match invoices and checks for signature, mail signed checks
  • Perform filing and maintenance of AP and PR records
  • Enter Non-Check AP payments into system
  • Process customer invoices and enter them into customer portal
  • Send out customer statements
  • Follow up on past due customer payments
