Job Summary:

ABM Industries is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our HVAC systems, performing maintenance, repairs, and installations, and providing technical direction and training to our team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Install and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems, including ductwork and controls.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and other team members.
  • Document all equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including make, model, serial number, and test measurements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors, and managers to ensure timely and efficient completion of work assignments.
  • Submit detailed, complete, and timely reports on work progress and activities.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest industry technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
  • Assist with customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
  • Must possess an HVAC license in the state, county, or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed.
  • Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials.
  • Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification.
  • Three (3) years of HVAC experience are required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an HVAC Journeyman Lead is required.
  • Experience managing equipment vendors and maintenance contractors is preferred.
