About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at ASSA ABLOY. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs that meet the needs of our organization and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, NIOSH, and ISO 14001.
  • Conduct risk assessments and perform EHS surveys and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop corrective actions.
  • Plan and conduct accident prevention training and health and safety training programs for employees.
  • Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and developing recommendations for prevention.
  • Develop and maintain records of EHS-related documentation, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with management and directors to develop and implement EHS strategies and initiatives.
  • Interface with employees, management, and external stakeholders to promote a positive EHS culture and ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS, with a focus on compliance, risk management, and training.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, and ISO 14001 regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
