Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
The Continuous Enhancement Engineer will be instrumental in fostering efficiency and productivity throughout the organization. This mid-level technical role is recognized as a subject matter expert in LEAN Six Sigma methodologies, tasked with identifying and implementing improvement opportunities across various dimensions including quality, capacity, service levels, inventory management, and transactional accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement with certifications in LEAN and Six Sigma.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability in project management.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a willingness to provide hands-on engineering support.
- Ability to lead remote project teams and travel approximately 30%-50% as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Certified LEAN practitioner.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Improvement Initiatives – 70%
- Identify, plan, coordinate, and drive process improvement projects while monitoring existing processes for enhancement opportunities.
- Manage the portfolio of continuous improvement projects from selection through execution and evaluation.
- Collaborate with corporate functions, manufacturing sites, operations, R&D, and sales to execute projects.
- Conduct process reviews, perform root cause analyses, and develop actionable improvement plans.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend appropriate actions.
- Track, measure, and report on the progress and effectiveness of improvement activities aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations to management.
Strategic Problem Solving – 20%
- Provide technical support to Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Establish processes to sustain corrective actions and disseminate lessons learned across the organization.
Training and Development – 10%
- Serve as a recognized expert in continuous improvement and statistical tools.
- Coach and mentor employees at all levels to achieve operational excellence.
- Identify organizational training needs and facilitate coaching and development in continuous improvement methodologies.
