Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team at MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families
  • Record and report patient information, such as vital signs and behavioral changes
  • Assist with mealtime activities and maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Perform additional duties as requested, such as transporting patients and obtaining medications and supplies
Requirements
  • Certification in a 75-hour CNA certification program and active on the Iowa registry
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
Working Conditions

The employee will work flexible hours and must be able to work in a variable and unpredictable environment. The job requires frequent squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, and balancing, frequent bending/stooping, and reaching above shoulder level, pushing/pulling. The job requires the use of hands for simple and firm grasping and also fine manipulating. The job requires lifting and carrying frequent up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
