Job Title: Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Nurse Assistant will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care, and maintain a safe and secure environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care to patients, including vital sign monitoring and documentation
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, including cleaning and disinfecting patient areas
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain competencies and improve patient care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a 75-hour CNA course or equivalent required
  • Active certification on the Iowa registry (required for long-term care nurse assistants in Iowa) or equivalent required
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
