About the Role

We are seeking an Experienced Environmental Data Management Consultant to join our Data Management team. This is a mid-level professional environmental data management position that will support environmental project needs by utilizing environmental data management platforms such as EarthSoft's EQuIS. The successful candidate will be responsible for a full range of activities, including processing electronic data files, managing and manipulating environmental data, running and modifying reports and queries, responding to client data requests, and automating technical and business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process electronic data files into EarthSoft's EQuIS
  • Manage and manipulate environmental data using custom database tools
  • Run, modify, or develop reports and queries to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Respond to client data requests
  • Automation of technical and business processes, where and when applicable
  • Act as an advisor in developing budgets and proposals for large-scale analytical chemistry, geoscience, and data management projects
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Assist in the design and implementation of enterprise-wide environmental information and quality management systems and technical data management systems for large public and private sector clients
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs
  • Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
  • Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma with 5 or more years' experience with applicable skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Access
  • SQL / VBA experience
  • Report generation experience
  • Knowledge of EQuIS
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Computer literate - capable of performing tasks such as creating spreadsheets, composing correspondence, managing databases, and creating presentations, reports, and documents using desktop software and digital graphics
  • Exhibit professionalism in dealings with other employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Detail-oriented
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
