Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and caring Site Aide to join our team at the Omaha Public Schools Foundation. As a Site Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children at our Kids Club.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Care for Children: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Interact and Engage with Children: Develop positive relationships with children, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Intervene in Disciplinary Situations: Effectively manage conflicts and provide guidance to children, escalating issues to the site director or assistant director as needed.
  • Support Daily Operations: Assist with snack service, clean-up, and other tasks to maintain a smooth and efficient environment.
  • Stay Informed and Compliant: Familiarize yourself with state regulations and OPSF policies, ensuring adherence to all requirements.
  • Record and Track In-Service Hours: Accurately document and maintain records of personal in-service hours, as required by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must meet the qualifications set by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, including up to 12 in-service hours each school year based on hire date. You will also be required to have an annual health examination form and felony statement on file.

In accordance with the Department of Health and Human Services and the Omaha Public Schools Foundation, staff are not required to be immunized but it is highly recommended.
