You will also perform circulating functions, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition, and managing overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.

**Responsibilities**

* Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures.
* Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
* Directly assist operating physicians with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure.
* Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

**Requirements**

* BLS and ACLS certification.
* National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
* Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
* Ability to stand for extended periods.
* Strong technical skills.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Passionate about patient care.
* Requires a minimum of two years of current Surgical Tech CVOR experience.
* Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech CVOR program.
* Active unencumbered Indiana Surgical Tech state license.
* One year of Cerner experience.

* Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
* Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
* Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
* Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise.
* A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital.
* Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
