About the Role
At TSR Consulting, we are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our Outage Management System (OMS), a critical application for managing outage restoration processes in the utility industry.

This is a contract position with a leading utility company, offering a competitive salary of $75-85 per hour based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux environment and scripting, developing and maintaining 3rd party and in-house applications, as well as experience with relational databases such as Oracle database and database tools.

The right candidate will be well versed in debugging and tracing log files, Kornshell scripts, and PL/SQL, with previous work experience in the utility industry being a plus. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with various business groups both within and outside of IT.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement new patches and configuration updates to the vendor product as new updates come in or when required by the Control Center.
- Maintain and update mission-critical core and in-house applications, performing programming/debugging activities related to new system development.
- Document step-by-step deployment process.
- Support, troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize vendor product and in-house applications.
- Migrate code changes from Development, Test, and Production environments.
- Develop and support in-house applications that support and interact with vendor product.
- Maintain detailed documentation of issues and the changes that are implemented to resolve them.
- Provide 24×7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Work closely with other technical groups to manage and address any issues with physical servers, permissions, cluster issues, and BizTalk (integration services) for Middleware orchestrations.

Requirements
- Minimum 4-7 years' experience with responsibilities in the analysis, design, programming, and implementation of information systems, including vendor product in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux OS, Kornshell or Bash scripting, PL/SQL, SQL Developer or similar tool, .Net development, Web/Windows development, Web Service, Version Control Software (git and/or TFS), SDLC, Windows OS, MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with various business groups both within and outside of IT.
- Driver's license required.
