US Foods is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, using technical manuals and online resources as needed.
- Complete documentation of all repair orders and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal trucking regulations.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance and repair goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic or refrigeration technician.
- Valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification preferred.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with ability to read and understand technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
