US Foods Fleet Mechanic Job Description

At US Foods, we're committed to providing our customers with the best possible service and products. As a Fleet Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our vehicles are in top condition, which is essential for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure our vehicles are running efficiently and safely.
  • Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability to maintain accurate records.
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
  • Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the MAXIMO Fleet Maintenance System.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or refrigeration technician.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with co-workers and drivers.
