We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist/Office Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for our patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing best-in-class venipuncture services to patients of all ages
- Performing and assisting with extended scope duties, such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
- Maintaining high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
- Dispensary responsibilities, including verifying counts, maintaining inventory, placing orders, receiving and stocking, filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions for patient pick-up
- Continuing to care for our members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting our providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties
- Using impeccable C-I-CARE in all patient interactions and ensuring a fluid and positive in-office experience through patient intake, same-day schedule management, appropriate follow-up scheduling, strong knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback, and assisting with outreach as necessary
- Assisting our senior patients by performing other administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, sending faxes, and coordinating transportation for patients
- Contributing to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem-solving, supporting in-office providers with ad-hoc asks, etc.
- Performing opening and closing duties/daily office upkeep as required, including maintaining the look and feel of both patient and employee-facing spaces, restocking supplies, and organization
- Mastery of our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with 8-hour shifts generally taking place Monday-Friday between 7:30am-6:30pm based at one of our Kendall Square offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
