Total Safety is seeking a highly skilled Permit Writer to join their team. As a Permit Writer, you will be responsible for issuing and managing permits for various work activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Issue permits for hot work, confined space entry, and other hazardous activities
- Audit compliance with regulatory agency requirements and company policies
- Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and contractors to ensure safe work practices
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
- Minimum 8 years of direct related safety experience in the petrochemical/refining industry
- Previous experience writing permits in the petrochemical/refining industry
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and company policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
