About the Job

Military Deli and Bakery Services is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to join our team. As a Deli Bakery Associate, you will have the opportunity to serve our nation's Military personnel and their families at one of our 103 US Military Commissary locations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a Positive Customer Service Environment
    • Provide enthusiastic customer service to our Military personnel and their families.
    • Work effectively with other team members to achieve a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Prepare and Serve Food and Beverages
    • Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer's request.
    • Prepare custom party trays and make sandwiches accordingly.
  • Stock and Organize Displays
    • Stock and organize displays, to include helping with shipments as needed.
  • Ensure Proper Sanitation and Food Handling
    • Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
  • Effective and friendly communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
  • Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
  • Team player.
  • Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus.
