Job Summary:

Military Deli and Bakery Services is seeking a Deli-Bakery Associate to join our team. As a Deli-Bakery Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive and enthusiastic customer service atmosphere, working effectively with a team, and assisting with various tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Slices deli meats and cheeses to customer requests
Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches accordingly
Stocks and organizes displays, including helping with shipments as needed
Ensures proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and food handling/preparation
Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age
Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
Effective and friendly communication skills
Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
Team player
Grocery, food service, or retail experience a plus
