As a key provider of eye care services, our optometrists play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular conditions. The responsibilities encompass more than just issuing prescriptions for corrective lenses; they include:
- Managing ocular conditions such as corneal ulcers and uveitis
- Evaluating and treating symptoms related to red eyes
- Recognizing and diagnosing serious eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma
- Conducting essential procedures like the removal of foreign bodies from the eye
- Identifying and addressing issues such as macular degeneration, retinal holes, and detachments
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) from an accredited institution.
Must be state licensed or eligible to obtain an Optometry license in the state of practice (New Graduates welcome).
