Job Summary

A dynamic and customer-focused individual is sought to join the Penske team as a Senior Rental Representative. This role demands a confident and skilled professional with a strong customer service orientation, excellent interpersonal and telephone skills, and the ability to manage a large fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line contact with prospects and customers, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Manage a large fleet of vehicles, matching demand with availability and coordinating all aspects of customer accounts.
  • Compute charges for merchandise or services and receive payments, as well as prepare merchandise for display or rental.
  • Recommend and provide advice on a wide variety of products and services, answering telephones to provide information and receive orders.
  • Greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise sought for rental, keeping records of transactions and customer interactions.
  • Prepare rental forms, obtaining customer signatures and other necessary information, and inspect and adjust rental items to meet customer needs.
  • Explain rental fees, policies, and procedures, resolving customer service or billing complaints and determining charges for services requested.
  • Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records, and issue service discontinuance orders, using computers and other tools as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • Sales experience (retail, consumer, B2B) preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work at least one day on weekend required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Customer service skills, dealing with people, flexibility, phone skills, and team player required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
