We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professor to join our department of psychology at the University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in psychology, with a focus on neuroscience and autism spectrum disorder.
About the PositionThis is a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous and internationally recognized research program, with a focus on brain processes and development. They will also be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, including those related to the Carolina Autism and Neurodevelopment Research Center (CAN).
Responsibilities- Establish a research program in psychology, with a focus on neuroscience and autism spectrum disorder
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including those related to CAN
- Contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Psychology and the College of Arts and Sciences
- Work closely with faculty and students within the Psychology department concentration of Cognitive and Neural Science (CNS)
The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field, with a demonstrated record of research productivity and potential for excellence in teaching. They will also have years of relevant teaching and research experience consistent with academic policy.
Preferred QualificationsWe are seeking exceptional applicants with research expertise in autism spectrum disorder or associated neurodevelopmental disorders, and an emphasis on brain processes and development.
