The Boeing Company is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Associate Structures Mechanic to support our operations. In this role, you will be integral to the manufacturing and upkeep of aircraft by providing assistance across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute precise drilling, reaming, and installation tasks on critical support structures and areas requiring fracture management.
  • Understand and locate blind holes essential for integrating new structural components into existing frameworks.
  • Engage in sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structures according to established repair protocols.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and retrofit requirements to facilitate structural modifications and repairs.
  • Utilize tooling assemblies and fixtures for comprehensive modification and repair of structural components.
  • Employ specialized aircraft tools, including test equipment, torque wrenches, and micrometers.
  • Access aircraft data through computer systems and initiate online parts and discrepancy requests.
  • Navigate vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and handle loads of approximately 35 pounds.
  • Adapt to various shifts and schedules that may change frequently to meet operational demands, including potential overtime.
  • Familiarity with Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems to ensure a safe working environment.

Work Environment: This position is expected to be fully onsite.

Security Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Special Access Requirements: Compliance with specific program access or government requirements is mandatory.

Assessment Requirement: Candidates must successfully pass an assessment during the training phase.

Compliance: Adherence to site tool and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) procedures is essential.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with non-porous metals such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
  • Experience interpreting schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
  • Proficient in using structural hand tools including drills, countersink cages, and rivet guns.
  • Experience with heavy structures, including locating, drilling, and fastening components to aircraft.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Depot Level/Heavy Structures maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Executive Fleet Platform operations.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and electric powered elevating equipment.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED with typically 4+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
