  • Staff Coverage:
    • Provide support for absent employees as needed.
  • Club Maintenance:
    • Maintain cleanliness at the front desk and lobby areas.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the club to ensure cleanliness, including restocking supplies and managing waste.
    • Regularly sanitize exercise equipment and tanning facilities.
    • Ensure restrooms are clean and well-stocked according to a cleaning schedule.
  • Front Desk Operations:
    • Answer phone inquiries in a friendly manner and assist with various questions.
    • Check members into the system upon arrival.
    • Facilitate new member registrations.
    • Communicate club updates and events to members and guests.
    • Conduct tours for prospective members.
    • Assist members with scheduling and using amenities.
    • Respond to member inquiries promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Club Manager when necessary.
    • Process sales transactions at the point of sale system.
  • Member Account Management:
    • Update membership cards and personal information.
    • Manage billing inquiries and payment changes.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Order club supplies within budgetary constraints.
    • Track key performance indicators such as guest counts and cancellations.
Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will have 6-12 months of customer service experience, ideally in the fitness sector. A high school diploma or GED is required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess basic computer skills with attention to detail. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Strong customer service skills are necessary to interact positively with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations. Candidates should demonstrate strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires continuous standing and walking, as well as frequent communication in person and over the phone. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and may encounter cleaning chemicals during their shift.
