Job Summary

Campbell County Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Center Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth workflow and productivity for staff and providers by performing detailed, accurate registration, eligibility verification, and scheduling of all applicable patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling
    • Accurately register new patients and update demographic and insurance information for established patients
    • Schedule patients for office appointments and maintain parameters of provider schedules
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and external sources
    • Answer incoming calls, respond timely and professionally to callers
  • Eligibility Verification and Pre-Certification
    • Verify insurance eligibility for all patient appointments
    • Pre-certify patients and confirm patient appointments
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Collect and scan insurance cards or completed insurance forms from patients
    • Collect payment/co-payment and deposits from patients as appropriate
    • Operate all office machines properly
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or GED required
  • Licensure
    • None required
  • Experience
    • Experience in a healthcare-related field preferred
    • Prior customer relations experience preferred
    • Prior computer keyboarding and 10-key calculator experience preferred
