Position Summary

Compass Group Careers is seeking a proactive individual for the position of Finance Associate. In this capacity, you will provide guidance on the daily operations and financial health of our foodservice locations. As the primary finance representative, you will ensure precise management and reporting of financial data while collaborating with the leadership team to create strategies that enhance financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Finance and Accounting, particularly in relation to internal controls and financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all cash handling processes
  • Conduct reconciliation and analysis for various balance sheet accounts
  • Evaluate financial results for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and maintain monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheet activities
  • Develop forecasts and budgets, identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Review general ledger and balance sheet
  • Address various accounting and reconciliation challenges
  • Prepare financial reports: monthly, quarterly, and annual, including fiscal close and audit reporting
  • Implement inventory and cost control measures
  • Assess food service contracts for financial compliance and billing
  • Manage payroll and human resources functions
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in revenue control, financial reporting, trend analysis, and cash handling
  • Accounting experience in the foodservice or retail sector required; experience in foodservice operations is a plus
  • Proficient in sales analysis and reporting
  • Adept at planning, organizing, and managing complex processes while analyzing moderately complex financial data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and relationships
  • Strong experience in internal controls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Point of Sales experience is advantageous
