About WakeMed:

Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing quality healthcare to patients by working collaboratively with medical professionals. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, ensuring the personal needs and comfort of patients are met.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care services, including vital signs, injections, and other medical procedures.
• Assist physicians and other medical professionals with exams, procedures, and patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
• Support the mission and values of WakeMed by providing exceptional patient care and service.

Requirements:
• 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a medical assisting program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required within 24 months of hire.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. No weekends or call requirements.
