The Manager will collaborate on the evolution of the Thrivent brand and will be responsible for a thorough understanding and application of Thrivent's localized brand strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the creation and localization of creative materials to ensure they resonate with regional audiences while upholding brand integrity.
- Bring innovative ideas to the forefront while maximizing the creative potential of the team. Lead presentations of creative concepts to business partners, conducting necessary research to prepare for pitches, including audience insights.
- Engage with business partners to develop creative strategies and concepts that align with business objectives through effective collaboration and influence.
- Work alongside the Brand Team on brand development and the application of brand standards by both internal and external creative teams, encompassing Thrivent's messaging, tone, style, and visual design across all channels.
- Encourage the creative team to explore their creativity, fostering growth and excellence within their disciplines, while valuing their contributions to achieve optimal outcomes for the brand.
- Provide constructive, clear, and actionable feedback to both internal and external teams and business partners, guiding the next steps for creative work.
- Contribute to writing briefs and ensure that creative teams are equipped with high-quality briefs before proceeding with projects. Utilize the brief as a benchmark for evaluating creative work.
- Offer writing and/or design support as necessary.
- Assist in cultivating high-performing creative teams and a positive culture; select, develop, mentor, reward, and recognize team members for their expertise in creative and effective ways that enhance and protect our brand. Teams may include both internal and external resources.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, marketing, or creative departments/agencies.
- Proven experience in leading creative teams.
- Expertise in creative development and/or direction across all disciplines and channels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the creative development process along with writing and visual design principles.
- Experience working within a corporation that has an internal creative team.
- Experience attending photoshoots, film productions, and directing various media types including direct mail, print, web, and outdoor.
- Awareness of the latest trends across creative disciplines.
- Strong understanding of audience needs, pain points, and external factors influencing decision-making.
- Willingness to travel as needed for projects.
Pay Transparency:
Thrivent's long-term success relies on attracting, rewarding, and retaining individuals committed to helping others thrive with purpose. We achieve this through a variety of competitive compensation programs designed to attract and retain top talent. The salary range for this full-time position is $104,000 to $141,398.00 annually, taking into account various geographic regions. The actual base pay offered will be determined by several factors including location, relevant experience, skills, business needs, market demand, and other considerations deemed important by Thrivent.
