Job Summary

This position reports within the Bureau of Local Government and School Services and is responsible for performing high-level policy research and analysis regarding the General Property Tax Act. The role involves a range of complex assignments related to various property tax matters and supporting several policy programs, education, and training initiatives for which the State Tax Commission is responsible per the General Property Tax Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Executive Director of the State Tax Commission and assist in coordinating agenda items for the Commission.
  • Review and evaluate policy and staff recommendations to ensure adherence to the rules, regulations, and procedures mandated by law and State Tax Commission promulgated rules and policy.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement effective policy solutions.
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations on complex policy issues.
Requirements
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
