Physician (Family Medicine) Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Family Medicine) to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate comprehensive treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and diagnoses, adhering to current clinical practice guidelines.
- Provide emergency services and crisis intervention, including life-saving procedures when necessary.
- Participate in professional medical staff and faculty meetings, committees, conferences, and boards to provide advisory and consultative services.
- Develop medical policies, guidance, and standard of care determinations within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Attend and participate in healthcare conferences as requested.
- Must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from a school in the United States or Canada, accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or an equivalent accrediting body.
- Hold a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Have completed at least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
- Must have successfully completed the required accredited residency training in Family Medicine and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 4 years.
This position requires the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties and obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 (Secret) security investigation or access for the duration of employment.
