Our client is a prominent provider of innovative hardware and software solutions catering to the aerospace, defense, and critical infrastructure sectors.
We are in search of a skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to become a part of our client's team.The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the manufacturing or inspection domains related to electronic components and/or assemblies.
Job Overview:The Quality Assurance Inspector will be tasked with executing receiving, in-process, and final inspections on products within Receiving, Manufacturing, or Integration and Test, as well as conducting product build documentation reviews and end-item data package assessments.
Additionally, you will be responsible for performing thorough inspections on both Electrical and Mechanical components at the piece part level, along with assembly and sub-assembly evaluations.
The candidate must be prepared to engage in off-shift activities with occasional overtime, weekend, and holiday support as necessary. The candidate must also be eligible to obtain a government security clearance.Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections on products in Receiving, Manufacturing, or Integration and Test, and perform product build documentation reviews and end-item data package assessments.
- Execute detailed inspections on both Electrical and Mechanical components at the piece part level as well as the assembly and sub-assembly levels.
- Maintain quality standards and workmanship practices in assigned work areas by understanding and applying process specifications and quality workmanship standards during daily job functions.
- Assist in the creation of training materials for the Quality Assurance team.
- Generate nonconformance reports for any discrepancies identified during inspection processes.
- Conduct audits of work areas to ensure adherence to ISO 9001/AS 9100 procedures and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Perform comprehensive reviews of product build documentation for configuration audits to verify that as-built meets as-designed requirements.
- Serve as a safety representative during critical and hazardous operations.
- Experience in quality inspection, auditing, testing, and documentation.
- Proficient in reading engineering documentation and inspecting according to drawings, parts lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions.
- Familiarity with IPC J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, Space Addendum, IPC-610, IPC-620, and ESD.
- Ability to utilize inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, DMM, etc.)
- Competent in Microsoft applications and capable of quickly learning new computer programs/applications.
- Willingness to engage in off-shift activities with occasional overtime, weekend, and holiday support as required.
- Willingness to support 2nd shift operations.
- Experience in developing and maintaining policy and procedure documentation.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Strong interpersonal skills in a team development environment, with the capability to work independently as well.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and TIPQA is preferred.
- Above-average technical writing skills are essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship required
