Key Responsibilities:
Role Purpose:
The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct credit research and engage with clients regarding products such as high yield and distressed bonds, leveraged loans, and post-reorganization equities.
Main Duties Include:
- Conducting fundamental and sector-specific credit analysis, focusing on high yield, loan-only, and distressed credits.
- Generating defensible relative value credit assessments.
- Effectively educating and communicating with the sales team regarding relative value trades and firm positions.
- Maintaining and nurturing relationships with clients through effective communication and education.
- This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be expanded to include additional duties as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis.
- Expertise in high yield and distressed debt analysis, including the ability to interpret and model financial statements, analyze capital structures, and review credit agreements and indentures while applying industry trends to analysis.
- Experience with process-driven investments, including restructuring and insolvencies.
- Independent thinking skills with the capacity to hold contrarian views.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Series 7 and 63 licenses.
- MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work model with in-office attendance required three days a week.
Salary Range: $100,000 - Salary to be determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment. Subject to business performance and management recommendations, this role may be eligible for an incentive compensation plan. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered.
