Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in Maternal Fetal Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough ultrasound examinations to acquire anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpretation by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and charts, and process sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians to review studies and provide preliminary reports for signature.
- Assist with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, and maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and take corrective action to ensure optimal performance.
- Rotate as needed to cover Sonographer absences and perform related duties as directed.
- Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment and maintaining inventory of supplies.
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
- ARDMS OB/GYN certified or eligible, with fetal echo certification or eligibility to obtain within 12 months of hire.
