Senior Data Analyst, Bureau of Equitable Health Systems

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join the Bureau of Equitable Health Systems. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in shaping the Healthcare Accountability portfolio and spearheading the creation of a data strategy.
Responsibilities will include leading the development and implementation of a data strategy, identifying additional sources of administrative, financial, pricing, quality, and utilization data, and continuously evaluating data for quality, accuracy, and utility. You will also prepare graphic and written materials for a range of audiences, track relevant academic and policy research, and build relationships with external researchers.
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in data science, statistics, health economics, finance, public health, public policy, or a related field, and at least five years of experience in managing and analyzing large-scale datasets using data management and statistical software. Experience in healthcare and a demonstrated understanding of the U.S. healthcare system are also required.

Qualifications- A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
- A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization.
