We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front End Lead Clerk to join our team. As a Front End Lead Clerk, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of all Front End department operations, policies, processes, and procedures. You will also be expected to demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Exploring and developing more effective and efficient processes, policies, and procedures for the Front End, Customer Service Center, and Accounting.
  • Designing a cleaner, more efficient working environment for the Front End, Customer Service, and Accounting.
  • Ensuring safe, effective, and efficient customer service is provided throughout the department.
  • Improving key performance indicators such as Shopping Experience Progress Report, Customer Tracker, Associate Tracker, Cash Over/Short, CCG, ELMS utilization, Customer Comment Cards, FES Evaluations, Bob Audits, and Key Retailing Measurements.
  • Providing training, support, and follow-up on all aspects of Key Retailing.
  • Couching and training customer service managers and front end supervisors.
  • Demonstrating the ability and desire to promote, communicate, and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Supporting store management and customer service managers in maintaining a well-organized, clean, pleasant shopping environment at the check stands, front-end, Self Service Checkouts, Customer Service Center, Accounting Room, and parking lot area.
  • FOLLOWING THROUGH ON SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS AND PERFORMING ANY AND ALL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A willingness to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, or nights as the work demands.
  • A willingness and availability to work weekends and holidays as needed (emphasis on Prime Time).
  • Store retail experience with an emphasis on customer service and front-end operations.
  • The ability to multi-task and handle large workloads.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to learn a wide range of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACE, Supersked, etc.
  • An understanding of all key components of department operations (ie. Managing people, merchandising, inventory management, shrink control, customer service, labor scheduling, expense control).
  • A past work record must exhibit a high level of integrity and dependability.
