Assistant Store Manager Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Assistant Store Manager at US Foods. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the front-end operations, leading a team of employees, and contributing to the overall success of the store. About the Role: As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing the front-end operations, including cash handling, customer service, and shrink control
  • Recruiting, training, and developing front-end employees
  • Working closely with the Store Manager to execute the Annual Operating Plan and associated programs
  • Maintaining merchandising programs within the store, including promotional ends, signage, and other company or market-specific programs

Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring compliance with personnel policies and procedures
  • Understanding the mechanics of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and how the operations translate into the monthly Profit and Loss (P&L)
  • Assisting in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgeting process
  • Participating in the annual inventory process, including preparation and execution of inventory guidelines

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a retail work environment
  • At least two (2) years of management/supervisory experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
  • Cash handling experience
