About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team at Patton Trial Group. As a key member of our litigation team, you will provide expert legal counsel, perform complex legal research, and draft critical documents to support our clients' interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential liabilities and ensure optimal outcomes for our clients.
  • Legal Research and Due Diligence: Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence to identify potential issues and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to our clients.
  • Legal Advice and Counsel: Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients on all aspects of insurance defense law, including contract review, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Review, modify, and create contracts related to insurance defense law, ensuring that our clients' interests are protected and their rights are preserved.
  • Legal Proceedings: Prepare for and attend legal proceedings, including trials, arbitrations, and mediations, to advocate for our clients' interests and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Negotiation and Client Communication: Negotiate on behalf of clients to resolve disputes and achieve mutually beneficial agreements, and maintain open and transparent communication with clients throughout the process.
  • Client Records and Team Management: Maintain accurate and detailed client records, and supervise paralegals and administrative assistants to ensure seamless team operations and optimal client service.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active California State Bar license.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience with insurance defense law, strong verbal and written communication skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, and strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients and achieve shared goals.

This is a remote position with Patton Trial Group.
