Job Summary

Phoenix Systems is seeking an experienced Audio/Video installation technician with Control4 certification to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and servicing security systems, surround sound systems, and other advanced electronics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and activate security systems, surround sound systems, and other advanced electronics
  • Communicate with customers to review work orders and answer questions
  • Instruct and train customers on system functions and operation
  • Have in-depth knowledge of security systems operation, functions, and wiring requirements
  • Understand security systems installed and serviced by Phoenix Systems
  • Handle after-hours emergency service calls
  • Create and edit Control4 IR Drivers
  • Install and program shades and screens
  • Terminate multimode fiber ends
  • Calibrate advanced projectors and receivers
  • Resolve technical issues independently
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with security/AV installations
  • Active Control4 Automation Programmer certification
  • Active Control4 PCNA Certification
  • Lutron Lighting Certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cable types and technologies
  • Ability to assess system design and functionality
  • Knowledge of networking requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments
  • Basic tools required
  • Clear background check and drug screening
  • Clear MVR required
  • Technical or vocational schooling (preferred)
