The HCA Nurse Residency ProgramOur comprehensive year-long program is designed to equip new nurses with the skills and expertise necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. The program includes advanced clinical training, educational sessions, preceptorship training, simulation-based evaluations, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
Job Summary and QualificationsThis role offers a unique opportunity for new graduate nurses to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. As an RN Resident in our Transitional Cardiac Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality patient-centered care, working collaboratively with medical providers and other members of the care team.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting administration of care in the patient record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and notify providers as necessary.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and resolving them proactively.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
- Other certifications may be required during employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
- No prior experience necessary.
