Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist PRN to join our team at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and complete patient paperwork, including exam scheduling, physician orders, and department logs.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety and ensure optimal performance.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the Diagnostic Imaging team to meet departmental needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologists.
  • MRI registry required within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
  • Three to five years of previous MR experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with women's health and neonatal patients.
  • Experience with Philips equipment.

Additional Requirements:

  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
