About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team at RS&H. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a vital role in providing professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria
  • Coordinate with project teams, including development of client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and management of discipline-related activities
  • Prepare specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals, and ensure finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction
  • Meet with clients to determine objectives and requirements for executing desired scope
  • Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide technical guidance to other professionals and technicians
  • Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects
  • Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments, serve as the team expert and/or project lead, lead a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects, and/or manage a small team of direct reports
Requirements
  • Have a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Be a professional engineer in good standing
  • Be knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
  • Be proficient in production software and construction document production
  • Have proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner
  • Have experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
