About the Role

Columbus City Schools is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Instructional Assistant to join our team. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational programs and services for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support small group tutoring sessions in reading and math
  • Keep daily attendance records for students tutored
  • Assist in the preparation of Title I instruction
  • Establish positive relationships with parents, students, and school staff
  • Attend professional development sessions
  • Monitor student progress and alert teachers to any needs or concerns
  • Support a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Follow established discipline procedures and maintain confidentiality
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours from an accredited institution
  • Pass the Ohio Department of Education approved Parapro examination
  • High school diploma or GED recognized by the Ohio Department of Education
