The Rotating Equipment Reliability Specialist plays a crucial role within the Reliability Group, focusing on the maintenance and optimization of rotating machinery to ensure peak performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key member of the Rotating Equipment Reliability team, providing expertise in the selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of various rotating equipment including gearboxes, compressors, pumps, mechanical seals, turbines, and motors.
- Oversee assigned rotating equipment, developing comprehensive inspection and overhaul strategies while guiding effective repair methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance and operational teams to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and formulate plans for inspecting and repairing rotating equipment, ensuring consistent performance throughout its lifecycle.
- Engage in spare parts evaluations and provide recommendations for projects aimed at enhancing overall plant reliability, including the development of cost justifications and participation in initial project designs (FEED).
- Utilize predictive technologies to analyze inspection and vibration reports, identifying areas for improvement, establishing safe operational limits, and supporting troubleshooting and repair efforts.
- Contribute to the Process Safety Management (PSM) program by completing Management of Change (MOC) forms and participating in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in high-risk industries such as electrical power generation, refining, paper manufacturing, petrochemical, or chemical processing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability of Rotating Equipment, with a competitive salary range based on experience.
- Proficient knowledge of gearboxes, compressors, pumps, mechanical seals, turbines, and motors.
- Familiarity with API 670 Machinery Protection Systems (Bently Nevada) and experience in portable vibration data collection.
- Must possess authorization to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.
