Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Amenity Health, Inc. working with the pediatric population. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, re-evaluating, developing, and implementing a plan of care in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and preferred practice patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and document productivity standards set by the Director.
* Develop a plan of care outlining area of deficit, target activity, context, assistance needed, functional, realistic, and measurable goal(s), and/or status ongoing goal(s).
* Recommend and provide treatment based upon medical, clinical, functional, and observational findings.
* Continually document active and supportive education with the patient, parents, and others concerned, regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
* Maintain ongoing continuing education to maintain professional licensure and clinical excellence.
* Supervise assistants and others (i.e., interns/students) according to experience - if applicable.

Requirements:

* Ability to appropriately interact with patients, parents/guardians, and other healthcare professionals in all work-related situations.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families, and co-workers.
* Ability to problem-solve to formulate a plan of care and evaluate the patient's response to care.
* Ability to interpret, adapt, and react calmly under stressful conditions.
