Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a vital member of our team, responsible for representing our company to patients and providing exceptional customer service. As a PSR II, you will be responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw blood samples from patients in a safe and accurate manner
- Prepare specimens for lab testing while following established procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Work independently with minimal onsite supervision
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and technologies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical training or experience preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Three years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
