JD Edwards Project Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned JD Edwards Project Manager to lead our financial implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and a proven track record of successfully delivering JD Edwards projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate and communicate project status updates to stakeholders, including clients, project team members, and senior management.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items are tracked and completed.
  • Collaborate with the client to gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure the successful configuration, development, and testing of the JD Edwards system.
  • Provide guidance and support to project team members, including functional and technical consultants.
  • Conduct project reviews and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Manage project change requests and ensure they are properly documented, approved, and implemented.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned for future projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and act as the main point of contact for project-related matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in JD Edwards implementations.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience managing full project lifecycles, including planning, design, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and project team members.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing project resources.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, specifically Finance/Accounting modules.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
