We are currently seeking Dining Assistants to fill part-time evening and day shifts. If you are passionate about providing excellent dining service and making a difference in the lives of our residents, we encourage you to apply.

As a Dining Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the dining area for meal service, ensuring that all necessary supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly.
  • Preparing food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures, ensuring maximum and minimum temperatures are met.
  • Setting up the service area with established menu items for each meal.
  • Maintaining a clean and uncluttered environment at all times.
  • Serving food in accordance with established portion control procedures, taking into account residents' menu preferences, special diets, and other requirements.
  • Collaborating with neighborhood CNAs, nurses, and other staff to ensure that residents receive a satisfying and palatable meal each time.
  • Following all sanitary policies and procedures before, during, and after meal service.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and making every effort to ensure that residents are happy with their dining experience.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition, with the ability to handle residents with sensitivity and understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas.
  • Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills, with the ability to understand and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
