Role Overview

As a Senior Financial Consultant at Hall CPA LLC, you will report directly to one of our Accounting Managers. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing financial statements generated by associates using QuickBooks and other accounting platforms. You will also present these financials to clients, who are primarily real estate investors and small business proprietors. In this role, you will provide technical insights on tax and accounting matters, mentor junior staff, and cultivate client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of staff accountants to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables by removing obstacles, setting deadlines, managing workloads, and providing training and support.
  • Utilize your accounting expertise to review the work of staff accountants, offering constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Prepare, review, and deliver accurate financial statements, including dashboards, KPIs, and forecasts, while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Engage confidently with clients through video calls, phone conversations, or emails, addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on best accounting practices and process improvements, suggesting additional firm services that may benefit them.
  • Provide various client services, including regular oversight calls and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Facilitate smooth client onboarding by employing project management tools to ensure a satisfactory experience.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm and implement effective solutions through collaboration and technology.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of client accounts to our tax team at year-end for tax return preparation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 2-3 years of senior-level review experience, preferably with real estate and small business clients.
  • 1-2 years of experience leading a team of staff accountants to produce quality work and uphold company culture.
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online, Yardi, and other property management software.
  • Strong understanding of entity types, structuring, and transactions.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and meet engagement objectives accurately and timely.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Public accounting experience is preferred.
  • CPA certification is not required but will be compensated based on credentials and experience.
