Job Summary:

The Production Maintenance Technician will be responsible for operating, setting up, and tearing down production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This includes adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and in a timely fashion, monitoring product quality, and completing production documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain production equipment, including setup and teardown of machinery
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications
  • Monitor product quality and notify supervisor of any issues
  • Complete production documentation and pre-assessments of work centers
  • Maintain knowledge of company maintenance procedures and assist with daily maintenance checks
  • Plan layout of wiring and install electrical apparatus in buildings
  • Read hydraulic and electrical schematics and comprehend complex drawings
  • Assemble, disassemble, and test tools and assemblies for onshore and offshore applications
  • Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain procedures and objectives
  • Setup and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) to access work area
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts as a rotating shift
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Electrician/Journeyman License desired
  • Experience with 480 VAC power systems, breakers, and Siemens AC/DC variable speed drives
