Job Title: Infant Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our team at Primrose School of Temple.

About the Role:

As an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and implement individualized lesson plans.
  • Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
  • Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for their behavior.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
Requirements:
  • Meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
