The Grounds Specialist is a key member of the Bellevue College Grounds Crew, responsible for maintaining the college's educational landscapes. This role requires a strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to work in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables around campus
  • Maintaining lawns, gardens, and other outdoor spaces through regular mowing, trimming, and weeding
  • Repairing and maintaining irrigation systems, sprinklers, and other equipment
  • Assisting with campus events and providing support for departmental activities
  • Performing various tasks as needed to maintain a safe and clean campus environment

Requirements

  • Valid Washington State driver's license
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physical ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
  • Some experience or training in grounds maintenance, plant care, or a related field
