We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Outpatient Hematology Oncology to join our team at Swedish First Hill. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and interpret patient assessment data to identify needs and potential problems.
- Develop, review, and revise individualized care plans to achieve measurable and achievable outcomes.
- Evaluate patient response to care and initiate independent and/or collaborative changes as needed.
- Utilize the nursing process to incorporate teaching into patient care and document teaching and learning.
- Prepare for discharge/transfer, beginning with admission and continuing throughout hospitalization, and document the discharge/transfer process.
- Deliver patient care based on pathophysiology and nursing principles, performing technical skills with accuracy and efficiency.
- Recognize the patient's age as a relevant factor and apply appropriate decision-making skills in assessment, treatment, and care provided.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers, advocating for patients and utilizing resources effectively.
- Document complete and accurate information on all appropriate chart forms and report to oncoming shift in a concise, accurate, and relevant manner.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration within 90 days of hire.
- 1 year Oncology Nursing experience.
